SARAH KIM

INSTRUCTOR

PILATES

Sarah’s style is based in classical Pilates, with a twist of contemporary exercises to keep things fun, fresh and challenging.

She aims to teach with encouragement and support whilst challenging the class so they build confidence and strength. She prioritizes keeping a focus on correct alignment and technique so clients are able to see and feel improvements sooner in their day to day lives whilst being set up to keep progressing in their Pilates practice with every class!

Sarah’s goal is ultimately to help clients find physical stability, bodily awareness and build strength to help them enjoy and live their lives to their fullest and to enjoy themselves while doing it!!

An Australian concert cellist, Sarah grew up leading an active lifestyle, swimming competitively through her teen years. She was however plagued with mysterious injuries her whole life. It wasn’t until finally discovering she was hypermobile as a young adult and happening across a Pilates studio across the road from her apartment in Germany that she finally started seeing improvements and really understanding movement. She found pilates allowed her to move with more strength, control and ease than ever before in both her day-to-day activities as well as in her cello playing (all whilst keeping injury free!) Upon moving to LA she found West Adam’s Pilates soon after their opening and she fell in love with not only their small focused classes, but also the fun and inclusive community that Lulu had built. She became a devoted client and with Lulu’s encouragement and support underwent teacher training with Lulu herself! To put her money where her mouth is, Sarah can still be found taking classes at WAP multiple times a week.
